Katya Kilo (17 April 13 AS – 18 June 1 PS) was the female tribute from District 3 in the 1st Hunger Games. Originally from Littgart, she was 13-years-old and was studying to become an electronics engineer prior to being reaped for the games.

In the games, Kilo was the second tribute killed. Immediately after the games began, she rushed for the cornucopia, but was killed by Demetria Gallows of District 2 with an axe.

Early life[]

Kilo was born in Littgart, District 3 to parents Oliver and Jennee Kilo, and was raised in the Limelight City neighborhood. Her father worked as an electronics engineer, while her mother is an electrician. Kilo has two elder brothers: Cai and Norton.

During the Great Rebellion, Kilo's father actively participated in the rebellion, and was present during the execution of Frederick Wittrock in The Capitol. As punishment, he was executed by The Capitol along with several other rebels after The Capitol regained control.

1st Hunger Games[]

Pre-games[]

Reaping[]

Kilo was reaped for the 1st Hunger Games by District 3 escort Benni David. As District 3 isn't a district where children are eager to be reaped, there were no volunteers to take her place. The male tribute reaped for the games was Ulysses Douglas.

Opening ceremony[]

In the opening ceremony, Kilo was styled by the District 3 head stylist Jeffrie Leem. As District 3's industry is electronics, Leem designed a mad professor costume for his tributes. They placed 12th out of 12.

Training[]

In training, Kilo demonstrated her knowledge with technology, wiring together a number of traps using electricity. She received a score of 3 from the judges, owing to the fact that there was no guarantee tributes would have access to electricity, and that was what she based all her skills on.

Games[]

In the games, Kilo was the second tribute killed. Immediately after the games began, she rushed for the cornucopia, but was killed by Demetria Gallows of District 2 with an axe. She placed 23rd out of 24.
